On Tuesday 9th December, we had a wonderful Private View in the gallery of Timur D’Vatz’s new exhibition, sponsored by Sipsmith Spirits and FeverTree mixers. It was a fantastic evening surrounded by Timur’s rich, mythical paintings with delicious Vodka and Tonics.
Sargy Mann On the 24th October 2014, BBC News aired a short documentary about painter Sargy Mann. Continuing on the surge of interest in Sargy’s work and adding to the enormously well deserved interest in his work and career. We can only say how delighted we are as a gallery that some international attention has focused on a painter who can truly be called unique. Sargy Mann is one of the most extraordinary painters who ever lived.
We are delighted to congratulate Elise Ansel on being shortlisted for the 2014 Young Masters Art Prize. The Young Masters Art Prize celebrates contemporary artists from all over the globe who pay homage to the skill and traditions of the past.
BREAK BARRIERS On 20th September 2013, the United Nations Postal Administration issued six stamps on the theme ‘Break Barriers – Open Doors’. We are delighted that Sargy Mann was chosen as one of the six selected artist from around the world, alongside other artists such as Chuck Close. We kicked of 2012 with a wonderful party to celebrate Cadogan Contemporary’s 30th Anniversary! Christopher Burness founded the gallery initially on Pont Street, and subsequently moved to Draycott Avenue for over 20 years. In 2007 Cadogan Conteporary moved to it’s current location on the Old Brompton Road where it continues to thrive and grow.
