Maria Luisa Hernandez paints atmospheric landscapes and seascapes inspired by her native Chile and her adoptive England.  After graduating with a Master of Arts from the University in Chile, she was offered an exhibition in Stockholm in 1998 and traveled around Europe for a few years, before settling in London in 2000. She has been represented by Cadogan Contemporary since 2010 and since then she has had a number of very acclaimed and successful shows. She is collected worldwide by international collectors, celebrities and corporations.

“Maria Luisa’s painting is, in essence, an athmospheric play of colour and light: the two anchors of her work. Her hallmark is insinuation and evocation rather than description”.
– Pedro Labowitz, Art Critic
